The Arizona Coyotes will play the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Arizona has lost 11 games in a row, while Winnipeg has won five of their last six. Let’s take a look at the betting matchup and the Coyotes vs Jets prediction.

Coyotes Preview

The Arizona Coyotes are  23-29-4 this year after they lost to Toronto by a score of 6-3 in their last game. Arizona trailed 3-0 after the first period, but they did cut the deficit to 4-3, before Toronto pulled away. The Coyotes were out shot by a total of 36-26 and went 1-3 on the power play in the game. Arizona has lost 11 games in a row and they have allowed at least four goals in eight of them. The Coyotes are scoring 2.88 goals per game and they are allowing 3.29 goals against per game, while going 21.7% on the power play and 78.7% on the penalty kill. Clayton Keller has led Arizona with 22 goals, 30 assists, and 164 shots on goal. The projected starting goalie for Arizona is Connor Ingram, who is 17-13-2 this year with a 2.76 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

Jets Preview

The Winnipeg Jets are 35-15-5 this season after they defeated Chicago in overtime by a score of 3-2 in their last game. Winnipeg blew a 2-0 lead in the second period, but they were able to score just 25 seconds into overtime for the win. The Jets were out shot by a total of 35-31 and went 0-2 on the power play in the game. Winnipeg defeated Minnesota by a score of 6-3 in the game prior to Chicago, but did lose to Calgary before that. The Jets are scoring 3.05 goals per game and they are allowing 2.35 goals against per game, while going 17.3% on the power play and 77.5% on the penalty kill. Mark Scheifele has led Winnipeg with 16 goals, 31 assists, and 111 shots on goal. The projected starting goalie for Winnipeg is Connor Hellebuyck, who is 27-11-3 this year with a 2.19 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. The Jets will take on the Blues, Stars, and Hurricanes after this game.

Winnipeg Jets Team Facts

  • The Jets have covered the puck line in eight of their last nine games as home favorites against Central Division opponents.
  • The Jets have won the second period in each of their last six games at Canada Life Centre following a road win.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 3′ market has hit in each of the Jets’ last nine games after coming off overtime.

Arizona Coyotes Team Facts

  • The Coyotes have lost each of their last 11 games.
  • The road team has covered the puck line in each of the Coyotes’ last five games.
  • The road team has won the first period in each of the Coyotes’ last six games.
  • The ‘Over 1.5 Goals Period 3′ market has hit in each of the Coyotes’ last eight games against opponents on a winning streak.

Coyotes vs Jets Betting Prediction

Arizona comes into this matchup looking to snap their 11 game losing streak, but they will be on the road, where they are 8-15-4 this season. The Coyotes have had major issues on defense during this losing streak, but they do get their starting goalie back from injury here. Winnipeg has won five of their last six games and they are 19-7-2 at home, but they have had some issues scoring consistently in recent games. I definitely can’t back the Coyotes here, but I do think we see a lower scoring game with Ingram back in net for Arizona. Take the under here.
