Utah Jazz vs Oklahoma City Thunder NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 4/13/21

The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Vivint Arena to take on the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a serious slump as they’ve lost nine of their past 10 games and they will be looking to put a halt to a six-game slide after getting routed by the 76ers in a 117-93 home loss on Saturday. Darius Bazley led the team with 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists, Troy Bradley added 16 points with 14 rebounds and three blocks while Luguentz Dort chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Thunder shot 50 percent from the field and eight of 20 from the 3-point line as they allowed 37 points in the first quarter to fall behind by double-digits early, before getting completely blown out in the fourth quarter where they managed just 17 points.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in great form lately as they’ve won 11 of their past 14 games but they are looking to bounce back here after getting stopped in their tracks by the Wizards in a 125-121 home loss last night. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 42 points and six assists, Bojan Bogdanovic added 33 points on 10 of 18 shooting while Joe Ingles chipped in with 18 points and six assists. As a team, the Jazz shot 48 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 42 points in the first quarter, but they got outscored in the second quarter by 37-23 to put them on the back foot for the rest of the game. The Jazz rallied late and cut a 19-point deficit to just two points with just 12.3 seconds remaining, but the Wizards were able to escape on free throws.

Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games playing on two days’ rest, 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 0-6 ATS in their last six games overall. The Jazz are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games, 7-1 ATS in their last eight games playing on zero days’ rest and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the under is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Thunder are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings in Utah and the Thunder are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Thunder have really become the punching bags of the league as their last five games have all been double-digit blowout losses. The Jazz have been one of the most consistent teams this season and just had their 24-game home win streak halted by the struggling Wizards last night. I think the Jazz come out with guns blazing and make light work of the Thunder in this one.
