Utah Jazz vs Brooklyn Nets NBA Picks, Odds, Predictions 3/24/21

The Brooklyn Nets travel to the Vivint Arena to do battle with the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

The Brooklyn Nets have been on a tear for a while now as they’ve won 16 of their past 18 games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Trailblazers in a 116-112 road win last night. James Harden led the team with 25 points and 17 assists, Jeff Green added 20 points, Joe Harris scored 17 points while Nicolas Claxton chipped in with 16 points on eight of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot 49 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sloppy start by allowing 41 points in the first quarter, before rallying in the fourth quarter where they held the Trailblazers to just 21 points to escape with the impressive hard-fought win.

Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz have been in strong from lately as they’ve won four of their past six games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after making light work of the Bulls in a 120-95 road win on Monday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 30 points and six assists, Rudy Gobert added 21 points with 10 rebounds and nine blocks, Joe Ingles scored 17 points while Jordan Clarkson chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Jazz shot 48 percent from the field and 17 of 39 from the 3-point line as they held the Bulls to just 19 points in the second quarter to take the 14-point lead at halftime, before running away with it in the second half.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nets are 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games, 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games playing on zero days’ rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Jazz are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 home games, 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 games against a team above .600 and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall, the Nets are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Utah and the Nets are 7-17 ATS in the last 24 meetings overall.

The Nets have been impressive in the way they’ve been able to keep winning games despite the constant disruption of injuries and Harden was a big reason they were able to get past the red-hot Trailblazers last night. The Jazz haven’t been as dominant as they were at the start of the season when they were running through everybody, but they’re still coming in with plenty of momentum after blowing out the Bulls on Monday. The Nets are only 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games playing on zero days’ rest, so I’m going with the Jazz at home in this spot.
