The Portland Trail Blazers invade the AT&T Center to do battle with the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night. Here’s a Trail Blazers vs Spurs Prediction.
Portland Trail Blazers
The Portland Trail Blazers have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past five games and they will be eager to stay hot after outlasting the Rockets in a surprising 137-131 overtime road win on Wednesday. Anfernee Simons led the team with 33 points and five assist on 13 of 20 shooting, Jerami Grant added 21 points with nine assists, Malcolm Brogdon added 19 points with six assists while Deandre Ayton chipped in with 18 points and 17 rebounds. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 51 percent from the field and 15 of 35 from the 3-point line as they drained a clutch 3-pointer to send the game into overtime where they held the Rockets to just seven points to cap off the impressive road win.

- The Trail Blazers have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five games against Western Conference opponents following a win.
- Seven of the Trail Blazers’ last eight games after coming off overtime have gone UNDER the total points line.
San Antonio Spurs
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a real slump as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting shocked by the Thunder in a 140-114 loss on Wednesday. Victor Wembenyama led the team with 24 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, Devin Vassell added 21 points with seven assists while Blake Wesley chipped in with 12 points and six assists on five of five shooting. As a team, the Spurs shot 50 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line, but they struggled to keep pace with the Thunder from the start and simply got outpaced right till the end to suffer another massive defeat. Jeremy Sochan had a night to forget as he scored just two points on one of seven shooting.

Trail Blazers vs Spurs Prediction
The Trail Blazers are still without Shaedon Sharpe and they have Malcolm Brogdon listed as questionable, while the Spurs are keeping an eye on Tre Jones who is questionable with an ankle sprain. The Trail Blazers have sprung to life with three wins in their past five outings and they were impressive in their thrilling comeback overtime win over the Rockets on Wednesday, while the Spurs have continued their disappointing season with a 26-point loss to the red-hot Thunder. I still wouldn’t trust the Trail Blazers despite their recent success, but they still represent decent value here as the underdogs against the ice-cold Spurs. This is a game I’d rather stay away from, but if I had to choose, I’d lean towards the Trail Blazers to pull off the minor upset here.
