Tre Jones led the team with 22 points and nine assists, Devin Vassell added 19 points while Victor Wembenyama tallied 12 points with 11 rebounds and six blocks. As a team, the Spurs shot 43 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line as they went on a run in the fourth quarter to overcome a 13-point deficit, but they went cold when it mattered most, scoring just six points in the final 4:09 to allow the Mavericks off the hook.
