The Los Angeles Lakers pay a visit to the AT&T Center to do battle with the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
The Los Angeles Lakers have looked good in their first four games of the season, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after fallings short against the Trailblazers in a 115-107 home loss on Monday. LeBron James led the team with 29 points, nine rebounds and six assists, Dennis Schroder added 24 points with four assists while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 47 percent from the field and 10 of 27 from the 3-point line as they started well and looked to be in control with a nine-point lead midway through the third quarter, before collapsing late as the Trailblazers closed the game on a 17-8 run in the final 5:15 to steal the game.
Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs were aiming for a third straight win in their last outing before getting stopped by the Pelicans in a 98-95 road loss on Sunday. Rudy Gay led the team with 22 points on nine of 20 shooting off the bench, Lonnie Walker IV added 16 points while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 14 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Spurs shot just 42 percent from the field and 11 of 36 from the 3-point line as they struggled for just 45 points in the first half, before going cold again in the fourth quarter as they scored just four points in the final 4:14.
Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss, 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600. The Spurs are 15-7 ATS in their last 22 games against a team above .600, the Spurs are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games following a loss and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.

The Lakers will be hoping to get back in the win column after a tough loss to the Trailblazers while the Spurs will be looking to regain their confidence after a poor offensive showing against the young Pelicans. The Lakers will be disappointed that they let a win slip from their hands as they looked to be on top of the Trailblazers on Monday, but I don’t see them making that mistake in this one. I think the line is just short enough for a play on the Lakers as the road team here.
