As a team, the Lakers shot 53 percent from the field and 10 of 24 from the 3-point line as they traded with the Timberwolves in a close contest, until the fourth quarter where they played great defense to limit the Timberwolves to just 17 points to allow the Lakers to pull away in the end. The Lakers will take on the Warriors after this one.
Sacramento Kings
Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in pretty good form as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games overall and they will be eager to keep it going after making light work of the Bucks in an impressive 129-94 home win last night. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 29 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Malik Monk provided the spark off the bench with 25 points and five assists while Domantas Sabonis tallied 22 points with 11 rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Kings shot 53 percent from the field and 18 of 40 as they set the tone with 75 points in the first half, before they completely dominated the fourth quarter by 34-16 to finish with arguably their best win of the season so far. The Kings will play against the Knicks and Grizzlies after this game.

You can make an argument for either side here as both teams are coming into this one with winning momentum, but the Kings have already beaten the Lakers three times this season. It’s tempting to take Kings to complete the sweep, but they are playing their second game of a back to back set, while the Lakers haven’t played since Sunday, so I’m going with the Lakers to get the win and avoid the season sweep here.
