As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they stormed out of the gates with 37 points in the first quarter to take an early 14-point lead, but they couldn’t maintain that pace and fell short in the second half where they scored just 40 points to allow the Nuggets to pull away late.
