The Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers meet Wednesday in NBA action at the Moda Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Atlanta Hawks vs Portland Trail Blazers prediction.
Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Pelicans in a 116-103 home loss on Sunday. Bogdan Bogdanovic led the team with 25 points and seven assists, Dejounte Murray added 23 points with 11 assists while Clint Capela tallied 18 points with 14 rebounds. As a team, the Hawks shot just 41 percent from the field and 17 of 46 from the 3-point line as they struggled against the defense of the Pelicans and scored just 42 points in the first half to trail by as many as 22 points, before they poured in 38 points in the fourth quarter to keep the scores respectable in the end.
Portland Trail Blazers
Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in poor form as they’ve lost four of their last five games overall and they will be looking for a better performance after getting thrashed by the surging Celtics in a 121-99 home loss on Monday. Deandre Ayton led the team with 22 points and 15 rebounds on 11 of 19 shooting, Anfernee Simons added 17 points while Jerami Grant chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 28 from the 3-point line, but they had no answer for the Celtics on the defensive end and were always fighting an uphill battle after falling behind by 14 points going into halftime. The Trail Blazers will play against the Knicks, Pelicans, and Bulls after this game.

Atlanta Hawks vs Portland Trail Blazers prediction
The Hawks are still banged up with Jalen Johnson, Trae Young and Saddiq Bey all ruled out again, while the Trail Blazers are still missing Malcolm Brogdon, Jabari Walker with Jerami Grant listed as questionable. It’s tough to bet on either team these days, but you have to give the edge to the Hawks who were on a nice run before they got stopped in their tracks by the red-hot Pelicans in their last outing. The line is short enough for this one, so I’m sticking with the more consistent Hawks to get the job done on the road.
