The Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns do battle at the Footprint Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last six games and they will be hoping to cap off the regular season with a third straight victory after routing the Trail Blazers in a 136-125 home win last night. Kawhi Leonard led the way with 27 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Russell Westbrook added 20 points with six assists while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 14 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Clippers shot 52 percent from the field and 12 of 35 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and fell behind going into halftime, before they exploded for 45 points in the third quarter to take control and make it look easy in the end.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in red-hot form as they were enjoying a seven-game win streak before they got stopped in their tracks by the Lakers in a 121-107 loss on Friday. Torrey Craig led the team with 18 points, Jock Landale added 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Josh Okogie chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Suns shot just 41 percent from the field and nine of 36 from the 3-point line as they were good enough to hang around in the first half, but they couldn’t maintain that in the second half where the Lakers outscored them by 60-45 to blow them out in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a home record above .600. The Suns are 4-1 ATS in their last five Sunday games and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record.
