The Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic meet Saturday in NBA action at the Kia Center. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Grizzlies vs Magic prediction.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have been in a rut as they’ve lost six of their last seven games overall, and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting routed by the Lakers in a 136-124 loss on Wednesday. Desmond Bane led the team with 26 points and 16 assists, Jake LaRavia added 25 points, six rebounds and four assists off the bench while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 17 points, nine rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 47 percent from the field and 17 of 43 from the 3-point line as they set poured in 36 points in the first quarter to keep pace with the Lakers early on, but they just didn’t have the tools to slow down the Lakers who shot over 60 percent from the field for most of the contest.
Orlando Magic
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have been in a bit of a rut as they’ve split their last 10 games overall. The Magic will be hoping to avoid a fourth straight defeat after getting beaten by the Clippers in a 100-97 loss last night. Paolo Banchero led the team with 23 points, Jalen Suggs added 15 points with five assists, while Franz Wagner chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Magic shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they worked hard to erase an early 11-point deficit to take the lead late in the fourth quarter, only to see the Clippers close the final 4:15 on an 11-3 run to snatch the game from them in a tight finish that could’ve gone either way.
Grizzlies vs Magic prediction
The Grizzlies are still missing a bunch of players including Desmond Bane, Derrick Rose and Marcus Smart to name a few, while the Magic are still without Markelle Fultz for this one. The Grizzlies have really struggled to stay competitive lately, and they are sitting out Bane for this one after he led the team in scoring in their loss to the Lakers on Wednesday. The Magic haven’t been at their best, and they are playing their second game of a back to back set. However, the Magic are almost fully healthy, and I think they can bounce back with a much-needed blowout win in this spot.
