The Washington Wizards have been in terrible form as they’ve lost 18 of their last 20 games overall and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting embarrassed by the Rockets in a 135-119 road loss on Thursday. Jordan Poole led the team with 25 points on 10 of 19 shooting off the bench, Deni Avdija added 24 points with nine rebounds and five assists while Kyle Kuzma chipped in with 23 points on eight of 10 shooting. As a team, the Wizards shot 49 percent from the field and 12 of 38 from the 3-point line, but they league-worst defense cost them again as they were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing 42 points in the second quarter to trail by as many as 24 points.
Chicago Bulls
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in a rut as they’ve lost three of their last four games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back in this spot after getting thrashed by the Clippers in a 126-111 loss on Thursday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists, Nikola Vucevic added 19 points with six rebounds and five assists while Alex Caruso chipped in with 17 points and six assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 35 from the 3-point line, but they played almost no defense to start the game and just left themselves too much ground to make up after allowing 37 points in the first quarter to trail by as many as 21 points at one stage. Ayo Dosunmu had a rough game as he scored just seven points on two of 11 shooting and the Bulls just had no answer for the Clippers who were allowed to shoot 60 percent from the field for the game. The Bulls will meet the Trail Blazers after this one.

The Wizards are still missing a bunch of players including, Tyus Jones, Landry Shamet and Marvin Bagley, while the Bulls are still without Coby White and Patrick Williams. The Wizards haven’t been able to build any momentum at all over the past 20 games or so, and they just got run over by the Rockets in their last outing, while the Bulls have lost three of their last four games, but two of those losses were to the Clippers and the other was to the Mavericks. The line is reasonable for this one, so I’m comfortable taking the Bulls to get a bounce-back win and cover at home against this slumping Wizards outfit.
