Milwaukee managed a 4-0 shutout win over the Cardinals on Friday, but they were on the wrong end of a 6-0 result in the Saturday game. On Sunday the Brewers notched 11 team hits in a 6-1 win. Starter Freddy Peralta put up 6.0 innings with one earned, five hits and three walks.
As starter for the Monday matchup Milwaukee will send out Wade Miley. In his first start of the year Miley went 6.0 clean innings with no walks and five hits in a victory. He’s 100-94 in his career with a 4.11 ERA.
Arizona Diamondbacks
Over on the Arizona side, they beat the Dodgers 6-3 Friday and 12-8 in the Saturday matchup. On Sunday the Diamondbacks kept it going with an 11-6 win. Starting pitcher Ryne Nelson finished with 6.0 innings, three earned, four hits and two walks.
For the starting pitcher job on Monday, Arizona is going with Zac Gallen. Over two starts this year so far Gallen is 0-1 with a 7.59 ERA. In 10.2 innings he has 10 Ks. Gallen is 22-23 in his career with a 3.19 ERA over 83 starts.
The Brewers are 5-1 in their last six Monday games and 5-2 in their last seven road games. The over is 4-1 in Milwaukee’s last five Monday games.

I’ll probably stay with Milwaukee in this one. Miley did a good job in his first start of the season on April 4, guiding the team to a 9-0 win over the Mets. If Miley is on point here he shouldn’t have too much trouble with the Arizona lineup while he’s out there. (The Diamondbacks were really impressive over the weekend, though.) On Sunday the Brewers scored multiple runs in both the third and seventh innings on the way to the victory. Willy Adames and Christian Yelich combined for six hits, four runs and four RBI to carry the offense. Another effort anywhere close to that should be plenty for a victory here.
