LIV Golf Chicago: Tournament Prop Bets, Predictions, Odds 9/22/23

LIV Golf Chicago
2023-09-22 13:15:00 EDT

This September, the LIV Golf Tour travels to Chicago, Illinois for the 2023 LIV Golf Chicago event.

Before I dive into my favorite tournament prop bets for this event let’s take a look at the current top five golfers in GIR (greens in regulation) on the LIV Golf Tour that are in this week’s 2023 LIV Chicago field.

Top Five Golfers in GIR (greens in regulation)

1. Mito Pereira 74.24%

2. Brooks Koepka 73.23%

3. Paul Casey 73.18%

4. Brendan Steele 73.06%

5. Dustin Johnson 73.07%

Now that we have determined who the top five players are with regard to GIR (greens in regulation) in this week’s tournament field let’s shift our focus to my favorite tournament prop bets for this week’s 2023 LIV Golf Chicago event.

Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to finish in the top five.

Dustin Johnson

The 2016 United States Open champion arrives at this week’s LIV Golf Tour event in rather good form. Let me be more specific. Since the beginning of March, Dustin Johnson has played ten tournaments on the LIV Golf Tour. In those ten events just noted, Johnson has accumulated seven top 13 finishes, including a win at the 2023 LIV Golf Tulsa event in May.

Dustin Johnson currently ranks second in birdie or better perecntage (4.88), third in driving distance (316.7 yards), and fifth in GIR (greens in regulation-73.07%) on the LIV Golf Tour.

It should also be noted that Dustin Johnson finished third at the 2022 LIV Golf Chicago event.

Here are two golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.

Joaquin Niemann

Joaquin Niemann has accumulated four top eight finishes in his last seven tournaments played on the LIV Golf Tour, including a seventh place finish at the 2023 LIV Golf Bedminster event two weeks ago.

Patrick Reed

The 2018 Masters champion has accumulated three top five finishes in his last four events played on the LIV Golf Tour, including a second place result at the 2023 LIV Golf London event in July. Reed also finished sixth at the 2022 LIV Golf Chicago event.
