Hero World Challenge: PGA Tour Predictions, Bets, Odds 12/1/22
Hero World Challenge
December 1, 2022 11:00 am EDT
This week, the PGA Tour travels to the Bahamas for the Hero World Challenge.
Before I dive into my favorite bet for this week’s PGA Tour event, let’s take a look at the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most important to a player’s success at this week’s Hero World Challenge.
The Hero World Challenge will be played at the Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas. This track is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,309 yards. This track features five par five holes, tree lines fairways, and very little rough. The Albany Golf Club has been the host of the Hero World Challenge since 2015.
The key player statistics I will be focusing on for this event are driving distance, GIR (greens in regulation), bogey avoidance, and birdie or better percentage.
Here is a golfer to consider placing on your card to win.
Tony Finau +850
Tony Finau has accumulated two top nine finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the Cadence Bank Houston Open two weeks ago.
In relation to this week’s current listed Hero World Challenge field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tony Finau ranks second in birdie or better percentage, fourth in GIR (greens in regulation), and first in bogey avoidance.
I also like the fact that Tony Finau has played well at this week’s PGA Tour event in the past. More specifically, Finau finished second at the 2018 Hero World Challenge.
