FanDuel Best NBA DFS Picks: Magic vs Raptors
Breaking down the best FanDuel picks for tonight's Magic vs. Raptors matchup.
Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors
March 15, 2024 7:30 pm EDT
The Orlando Magic travel to Canada for a matchup with the Toronto Raptors. Let’s take a look at this NBA game from a FanDuel perspective.
Before we dive into this evening’s Magic vs. Raptors game, let’s review the rules for FanDuel single game showdown contest.
FanDuel Single Game Contest Rules
Here are the single game contest rules. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The MVP accumulates 2x times the standard FanDuel fantasy points value.
The remaining four players in your lineup will be the star, pro, and flex plays. The star player will receive 1.5x the standard fantasy points value. The pro player will accumulate 1.2x the standard fantasy points value.
The final two flex positions will receive the standard points value. Having stated that, it is important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.
If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest, I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.
Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for tonight’s Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors matchup.
FanDuel Player Picks
MVP-Immanuel Quickley $15,500
How important is Toronto point guard Immanuel Quickley to the Raptors offense? In his last three games played, Quickley has averaged an impressive 25 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 11 assists a game. I think it’s fair to say that the Toronto offense runs through the Raptors point guard.
It should also be mentioned that Quickley will be facing an Orlando Magic defense that has clearly had issues allowing fantasy points to point guards recently. In the last 30 games played in the NBA, the Magic are ranked 28th in total FanDuel points allowed (51.42) to the point guard position.
For the reasons just noted, I fully expect that Quickley will have offensive success versus this vulnerable Orlando Magic defense tonight.
Star-Paolo Banchero $15,000
Talented Orlando forward Paolo Banchero has provided a consistent and steady presence in the paint for this Magic team. Let’s take a look at a sample of Banchero’s recent game statistics to better shed light on my previous statement. In his last three games played, Paolo Banchero has averaged 21 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.3 steals a game.
I like Banchero’s matchup this evening as well. The Raptors have been struggling defending power forwards recently. In the last seven games played in the NBA, the Toronto Raptors ranks a rather low 26th in total FanDuel points allowed (50.98) to power forwards.
Pro-Franz Wagner $13,500
Similar to Paolo Banchero, Orlando small forward Franz Wagner has been a key contributor to this Magic team in 2024. Through 66 games played this season, Wagner has averaged 20 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals a game.
Additional flex plays I like: Wendell Carter Jr. $11,500: Jontay Porter $8,500: Jonathan Isaac $8,000.
