The 2024 Valspar Championship will be played at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. This track is a par 71 that measures 7,340 yards.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2024 Valspar Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Sam Burns ranks seventh in birdie or better percentage, third in bogey avoidance, third in driving distance, and 15th in strokes gained putting.

Sam Burns also checks the box for me when it comes to previous event/course history. Since 2018, Burns has played the Valspar Championship five times. In those five tournaments just mentioned, Burns has accumulated four top 12 finishes, including two wins (2022, 2023).

Doug Ghim $8,400

Doug Ghim arrives at this week’s PGA Tour event on the heels of five consecutive top 16 finishes, including an eighth-place result at the 2024 Mexico Open at Vidanta four weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2024 Valspar Championship field, Doug Ghim ranks third in GIR (greens in regulation), tenth in driving accuracy, fifth in par four scoring, fourth in strokes gained approach, and first in birdie or better percentage.

Ghim finished 26th at the 2023 Valspar Championship.

Maverick McNealy $8,100

Maverick McNealy has accumulated three top 13 finishes in his last five events played on the PGA Tour, including a sixth-place result at the 2024 Waste Management Phoenix Open in February.

Matti Schmid $6,100

Matti Schmid has accumulated two consecutive top 26 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a tenth-place finish at the 2024 Puerto Rico Open two weeks ago.

I also like Matti Schmid’s low Draftkings price of only $6,100. In my opinion, Schmid presents outstanding fantasy value at such a low DFS price point.
