Utah State Aggies
The Aggies only lost two of their first 18 games this year, falling to Bradley and New Mexico in that stretch. Utah State has since gone 4-2 with victories versus Fresno State, Boise State, San Jose State and Boise State again. The losses otherwise were against San Diego State and Nevada.
On Saturday versus Boise State, the Aggies were up by 11 points going into the second half. Utah State hit a 39-31 run from there and powered out the win 80-61 in the end. Mason Falslev was the top scorer on the team with 25 points, four rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes.

Wyoming Cowboys
Over on the Wyoming side, they’ve had a pretty choppy year. The Cowboys were 10-9 after 19 games, taking losses to Saint Louis, Texas, Portland ,Weber State, UTEP, BYU, New Mexico, Utah State and San Diego State. Wyoming is 2-2 since then with losses to UNLV and New Mexico.
In the rematch with New Mexico last Tuesday, the Cowboys were outscored 40-25 in the first half. Wyoming didn’t end up getting any closer on a 51-48 run from there and took the loss 91-73. Brendan Wenzel was the leading team scorer on 20 points with five rebounds and a steal.
ANDREW’S FREE UTAH STATE VS WYOMING PREDICTION
I’ll stick with the Aggies. In their last matchup versus Boise State, Utah State notched a solid overall effort on 51.8 percent shooting, 35 rebounds, 20 team assists and just eight turnovers. It was a nice turnaround following a combined 130 points in their previous pair (both losses).
The last time these teams met up back on January 9, Utah State didn’t have too many issues in an 83-59 blowout victory at home. The Aggies started slowly with a two-point edge in the first half, but eventually caught fire on 52.5 percent shooting from the field. This one may not be such a lopsided affair, but in the end I think Utah State keeps it rolling and pulls off the cover.
