The Bryant Bulldogs and the Wagner Seahawks meet in college basketball action from the Spiro Sports Center on Thursday night.

The Bryant Bulldogs will look to build on their 85-82 win over Sacred Heart last time out. Peter Kiss leads Bryant in scoring with 20 PPG and in assists with 3.5 APG while Charles Pride has 14.4 PPG and a team-high 7.5 RPG to lead the Bulldogs on the glass as the only other double-digit scorer for Bryant up to this point in the season. Hall Elisias has 9.6 PPG with 5.9 RPG while Adham Eleeda and Chris Childs each have 9+ PPG as well this season. As a team, Bryant is averaging 73.5 PPG on 42.4% shooting from the field, 28.9% from three and 66.2% from the foul line while allowing 75.5 PPG on 42.9% shooting from the field and 35.7% from three this season.

The Wagner Seahawks come into this game looking to add to their current winning streak after a forfeiture from Mount St. Mary’s. Alex Morales leads the Seahawks in scoring and rebounding with 15.9 PPG and 6.6 RPG while Elijah Ford has 11.4 PPG and Will Martinez has 11.8 PPG with a team-high 4 APG to lead the Seahawks in assists. Raekwon Rogers has 10.3 PPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Wagner so far this season. As a team, Wagner is averaging 66.2 PPG on 48.5% shooting from the field, 28.8% from three and 77.1% from the foul line while allowing 52.2 PPG on 39% shooting from the field and 29.4% from three this season.

Bryant is 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games and 1-5-1 Ats in their last 7 games overall while the under is 15-7 in their last 22 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Wagner is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 home games against a team with a losing road record.

I do start to worry that Wagner is going to be a public under the radar team sooner rather than later, but until then I think we have to try to get whatever value we can out of the Seahawks. Bryant’s been brutal on the road for much of the season and while if’s yet to be seen if Wagner’s success is sustainable, the Seahawks have the better track record here. I’ll side with Wagner at home in this one.
