The Bowling Green Falcons will travel to Savage Arena to take on the Toledo Rockets this Friday night in College Basketball action.

The Bowling Green Falcons snapped their 6-game losing streak and improved to 13-17 on the season after upsetting the Ohio Bobcats, 80-77, this past Tuesday night. Bowling Green was outstanding on the offensive end in the 2nd half against Ohio and was able to hold on for the victory after taking a 70-62 lead with 3:14 left in regulation. Bowling Green shot 50.0% from the field & 34.8% from beyond the arc while holding Ohio to 34.7% shooting from the field & 31.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Falcons was Daeqwon Plowden who had 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 blocks, & 1 steal.

On the season, Bowling Green is averaging 81.1 ppg on 43.8% shooting from the field. The Falcons are averaging 8.3 three-pointers per game on 34.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Bowling Green has been led by Daeqwon Plowden (15.6 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.2 bpg), Trey Diggs (9.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg), Samari Curtis (9.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 3.2 apg), & Chandler Turner (6.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg). Bowling Green no longer have Myron Gordon (11.3 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.5 spg) or Joe Reece (11.2 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 1.0 spg) available as both were dismissed from the program a few weeks ago.

Defensively, Bowling Green is allowing their opponents to average 80.0 ppg on 44.3% shooting from the field. The Falcons have a rebound margin of 1.1 and a turnover margin of 0.9.

The Toledo Rockets won their 4th straight game and improved to 24-6 on the season after defeating the Buffalo Bulls, 92-76, this past Tuesday. Toledo was outstanding on the offensive end against Buffalo and had no trouble picking up the victory after going into halftime with a 46-32 lead. Toledo shot 53.1% from the field & 52.9% from beyond the arc while allowing Buffalo to shoot 44.4% from the field & 34.8% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bulls was Ryan Rollins who had 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, & 1 steal.

On the season, Toledo is averaging 81.1 ppg on 48.2% shooting from the field. The Rockets are averaging 7.0 three-pointers per game on 36.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Toledo has been led by Ryan Rollins (19.2 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.8 spg), JT Shumate (15.5 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.3 bpg), Setric Millner Jr. (14.8 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 2.0 apg), RayJ Dennis (12.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 4.0 apg), & Ra’Heim Moss (8.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.1 spg).

Defensviely, Toledo is allowing their opponents to average 68.8 ppg on 39.9% shooting from the field. The Rockets have a rebound margin of 5.4 and a turnover margin of 0.5.

The Falcons are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 & 1-7 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Rockets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game & 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Bowling Green is coming off their more impressive win of the season against Ohio, however, this is still a team that has lost 8 of their last 10 games and have struggled on the defensive end, ranking just 345th in scoring defense & 238th in defensive FG%. Toledo is 12-1 at home this season, led by their offense which ranks t-7th in scoring offense & 19th in FG%, and as the Rockets should have plenty of motivation to secure the win and hold off Kent State for the top-seed for the conference tournament, I think Toledo wins this one by 20+ and covers this large spread. Good Luck!
