Wright State Raiders
The Raiders were below .500 at 9-10 through their first 19 games this year. Wright State is a much better 7-2 in their last nine though, taking out Milwaukee, Cleveland State, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, Detroit (twice) and Robert Morris during that stretch of games.
In their rematch with Detroit on Thursday, the Raiders came out of the break with a 43-41 edge. Wright State hit a 5-37 run from there and ultimately powered out the victory 93-78. Leading the team in scoring was Trey Calvin with his 25 points and six assists.

Over on the Oakland side, they posted a 12-8 run over their first 20 games. After a loss to Green Bay, the Grizzlies have since gone 7-1 with victories versus Milwaukee, Robert Morris, Cleveland State, Wright State, Fort Wayne, IUPUI and Robert Morris again (with a loss to Northern Kentucky).
Matched up against Robert Morris again on Thursday, the Grizzlies were up 29-19 by halftime. Oakland kept it rolling in the second half with a 34-24 run and took the victory 63-43. Tops in scoring was Trey Townsend with 22 points and 17 rebounds for a double-double.
ANDREW’S FREE WRIGHT STATE VS OAKLAND PREDICTION
I’ll stick with Oakland. You could call this one either way, though; it’ll be a good matchup. The Grizzlies didn’t have too many issues with Robert Morris in their last game despite shooting just 34.5 percent from the field. Oakland bagged a 46-37 rebounding edge in that one and had just eight turnovers. The Grizzlies had scored 71 or more points in seven straight prior to that, so they’ll need an offensive bounce-back here.
Back on February 10 the last time these teams met up, Oakland bagged a 74-60 road victory. The Grizzlies shot a nice 50 percent from the field in that one with 40 rebounds and 13 team assists in a well-rounded effort. Oakland needs a return to form on the scoreboard for the rematch, but I think they’ll get it.
