The Idaho Vandals and the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks meet Thursday in college basketball action from Findlay Toyota Center. Idaho is 7-12 so far this year. The Vandals beat Montana State in their last game on Monday. As for Northern Arizona, they’re currently 5-14 following a loss to Sacramento State last weekend. Idaho Vandals
Idaho went 6-8 over the first 14 games, beating Walla Walla, Pacific, Northern Illinois, North Dakota, Northwest Indian and CSUN. The Vandals have gone 1-4 since then with losses to Montana, Sac State, Portland State and Eastern Washington.
On Monday versus Montana State, Idaho finally got back into the win column. The Vandals scored 34 points in the first half and 40 in the second for a 74-70 win. Divant’e Moffitt led the way on 32 points and seven assists.
Northern Arizona Lumberjacks
Over on the Northern Arizona side, they were just 4-10 through 14 games with wins over Benedictine Mesa, UCSB, Ottawa AZ and Pacific. The Lumberjacks are 1-4 in their last five as well with a lone win over Montana in that time.
Back on Saturday versus Sacramento State, the Lumberjacks were down 34-22 by halftime. Northern Arizona made a run in the second half with 34 points but fell short 59-56. Xavier Fuller was tops on the team with 20 points.

I’m leaning toward Idaho in this one. Probably not touching it, though; you could make a case either way and neither team is doing all that well lately. The Vandals have at least been scoring pretty well here and there lately; they’ve hit 74 or more points in three of their last four outings. As for Northern Arizona, they’ve been at 60 points or fewer in three of the last five. This matchup could go a lot of different ways so I’m staying away. I feel slightly better about Idaho cover-wise, though.
