Jamarii Thomas leads the Spartans in scoring and assists with 17.5 PPG and 3.8 APG along with 2 SPG and 3.9 RPG while Allen Bertrand has 11.1 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Norfolk State up to this point in the year. Jaylani Darden also has a team-high 5 RPG to lead the Spartans on the glass so far this season. I’m on Norfolk State here. Coppin State didn’t make life easy for the Spartans this year, covering both meetings with Norfolk laying similar numbers to what they are here. However, Norfolk State started to turn it on to close out the year and the fact of the matter is that Coppin State doesn’t score anywhere near enough consistently to give themselves a shot to stay in games. Norfolk State’s the better team in essentially a home game, so I’ll back Norfolk State for the win and cover to move on.
