The William & Mary Tribe and the NC State Wolfpack meet Tuesday in college basketball action from PNC Arena. William & Mary is 3-4 overall this year. The Tribe lost to Pittsburgh in their last game. As for NC State, they’re 6-1 and fresh off a win versus Butler. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

William & Mary went 1-3 over their first four games this year, beating MACU with losses otherwise to Navy, Virginia Tech and American. The Tribe managed wins in their next pair over Army and Radford, however.

On Friday versus Pittsburgh, the Tribe managed a 37-33 lead at halftime. William & Mary slipped in the second half on a 47-27 deficit and lost 80-64. Leading scorer Ben Wight posted 24 points with 11 rebounds.

Over on the NC State side, they won their first four games of the year versus Austin Peay, Campbell, FIU and Elon. The Wolfpack would take their first loss 80-74 to Kansas, but bounced back with a 76-64 win over Dayton.

On Friday versus Butler, the Wolfpack managed another win. NC State posted 35 points in the first half and 41 more from there in a 76-61 win. Jarkel Joiner led the way on 15 points, and Dusan Mahorcic added 13 points with six boards.

PICK: I’m probably staying with NC State. The Wolfpack have done a pretty good job dispatching opponents this year—outside of the six-point loss to a good Kansas team. NC State is coming off 44.6 percent shooting, 37 rebounds and 13 assists versus Butler.

As for William & Mary, they didn’t shoot terribly versus Pitt (41.7 percent) and posted a pretty valiant statistical effort. It was still a 16-point loss however, and I like NC State to outpace that in a cover.
