The Florida State Seminoles and the Miami Hurricanes meet Saturday in college basketball action from BankUnited Center. Florida State is 8-20 overall this season. The Seminoles lost to Boston College in their last matchup. As for Miami, they’re currently 23-5 after a win over Virginia Tech on Tuesday. Florida State Seminoles

Florida State went a rough 7-13 through their first 20 games this year. The Seminoles are just 1-7 since then, taking losses to Miami, Clemson, NC State, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Clemson again and Boston College with a lone win over Louisville.

Last weekend versus Boston College, the Seminoles took a 38-27 deficit into the second half. Florida State hit a 42-37 advantage from there but still lost 75-69. Caleb Mills was the top team scorer with 27 points and seven boards.

Miami Hurricanes

Over on the Miami side, they hit a decent 16-5 stretch over their first 21 outings. In the last seven games the Hurricanes have hit a winning streak, taking out Virginia Tech, Clemson, Duke, Louisville, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech in that time.

Matched up against Virginia Tech on Tuesday, the Hurricanes held a 36-32 edge in the locker room. Miami kept it up with a 40-38 second half and won 76-70. Norchad Omier led the team on a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stick with Miami in this one. The line seems a little too thick to mess with, though. The Hurricanes are looking good over this seven-game win streak. They’ve scored 76 or more points in each of those outings as well. The last time these teams saw each other was back on January 24 at Donald L. Tucker Center. Miami didn’t have too many issues in that one, jumping out to a 54-28 halftime lead in an eventual 86-63 blowout win. This rematch may not be quite such a lopsided affair, but I still like the Hurricanes better on the potential cover.

Andrew's Free Pick: Miami Hurricanes -15.5
