The New Hampshire Wildcats and the Hartford Hawks meet in college basketball action from the Reich Family Pavilion on Wednesday night.

The New Hampshire Wildcats will look to build on a 64-62 win over Albany last time out. Jayden Martinez leads the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding with 15.3 PPG and 7 RPG while Nick Guadarrama has 12.9 PPG with 4.8 RPG and 3.1 APG and Blondeau Tchoukulegno has 10.7 PPG with 3.9 RPG and a team-high 4.5 APG to lead the Wildcats in the assist department and to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for UNH so far this season. Nick Johnson also has 8.2 PPG with 4.5 RPG as well on the year. As a team, New Hampshire is averaging 72 PPG on 44.4% shooting from the field, 38.8% from three and 67.4% from the foul line while allowing 64 PPG on 41.9% shooting from the field and 30.4% from three this season.

The Hartford Hawks will try to build on a 78-71 road win over Sacred Heart last time out. Austin Williams leads the Hawks in scoring and assists with 15 PPG and 3.6 APG while Hunter Marks has 13.1 PPG with 4.8 RPG and Moses Flowers has 13.4 PPG with a team-high 7.4 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Hartford so far this season as the Hawks’ leading rebounder. As a team, Hartford is averaging 68.7 PPG on 45.4% shooting from the field, 33% from three and 67.2% from the foul line while allowing 75.8 PPG on 45.9% shooting from the field and 36.1% from three-point range this season.

New Hampshire is 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 raod games against a team with a losing home record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games overall. Hartford is 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games against a team with a winning record and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 Wednesday games while the over is 4-1-1 in their last 6 home games.

I get the case to be made for either side, but I’d rather not, and that’s why I’m backing the under. New Hampshire’s got a good offense, but they’re still scoring just 64.5 PPG on the road this season. Hartford’s scoring 68 PPG at home this season, but they’re struggling to score lately which has been a contributor to this rough stretch for Hartford in the win-loss column. I look for this one to come in well under the number.
