Florida International vs Eastern Washington 11/27/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Eastern Washington Eagles and the FIU Panthers meet Sunday in college basketball action from FIU Arena. Eastern Washington is 2-4 overall this year. The Eagles beat Stony Brook in their last game. As for FIU, they’re sitting at 3-2 and coming off a win over Stony Brook as well. Eastern Washington lost their first three games of the season. Those defeats came courtesy of Santa Clara, Yale and Hawaii. The Eagles managed a win over MS Valley but fell in their next game to Washington State. 

On Friday versus Stony Brook, Eastern Washington got back into the win column. The Eagles had a 36-25 edge by halftime and added 45 more points for an 81-52 win. Both Ethan Price and Steele Venters scored 15 points to lead the team. 

Over on the FIU side, they managed wins in their first pair of outings this year, taking out Houston Christian and Florida National. The Panthers went on to lose their next pair to NC State and Bryant, however. 

In Wednesday’s matchup versus Stony Brook, FIU was up 38-21 going into the second half. The Panthers scored another 45 points from there in an 83-50 blowout win. Denver Jones topped the team with 26 points and three boards. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with FIU in this one. The Panthers didn’t have any trouble with Stony Brook in their last outing on Wednesday. FIU shot 48.4 percent from the field with 38 rebounds, 13 steals and 23 assists. It’s been a pretty good year scoring-wise for the Panthers so far; they’ve hit 74 or more points in all five games so far. If FIU keeps up that pace I don’t know if Eastern Washington will join them.
