The Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds and the Clemson tigers meet in college basketball action from Littlejohn Coliseum on Monday night.

The Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds will try to build on their 81-53 win over subdivision Washington College last time out. Jaylin Andrews leads the Greyhounds in scoring with 13.8 PPG along with 5.5 RPG and 2.5 APG while Kenneth Jones has 12.3 PPG and a team-high 3.3 APG to lead the Greyhounds in assists as the only other player to score in double figures for Loyola-Maryland this season. Golden Dike also has a team-high 6 RPG for the Greyhounds this season. As a team, Loyola-Maryland is averaging 71.8 PPG on 44% shooting from the field, 37.3% from three and 63.4% from the foul line this season.

The Clemson Tigers will try to build on a 76-66 win over Bellarmine last time out. Chase Hunter leads the Tigers in scoring and assists with 17.8 PPG and 5.8 APG while Brevin Galloway has 13.3 PPG with 3.5 RPG and 2.8 APG. PJ Hall has 12.7 PPG and Hunter Tyson has 12 PPG with a team-high 9.8 RPG to lead the Tigers on the glass and to cap off the scoring in double figures for the Tigers up to this point in the year. As a team, Clemson is averaging 73.8 PPG on 46.5% shooting from the field, 39.3% from three and 71.6% from the foul line this season.

Loyola-Maryland is 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games while the under is 8-0 in their last 8 games following a win. Clemson is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games against a team with a losing road record while the over is 4-1 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the case to be made either way here, but the problem is that Loyola-Maryland has struggled offensively in both of their step up games so far this season. On the other side though, Clemson’s yet to cover a game this season and is all of a sudden laying double digits again. Instead, I’m going to side with the under as Clemson usually fancies itself as a defensive-minded team and usually plays in games that is the first to 70 wins if they even get that high and I don’t trust the Greyhounds to do a ton of scoring here, so give me the under.
