Miami-OH RedHawks 

Miami-OH took wins over Goshen, Little Rock, Jackson State, Calumet, Bellarmine and SMWC in their first 14 games. The RedHawks are 1-3 since then with losses to Kent State, Ball State and Northern Illinois. 

In the Northern Illinois matchup on Tuesday, the RedHawks were up 40-39 at the break. Miami-OH was outscored 42-37 from there and lost 81-77. Morgan Safford led the team with 27 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. 

Bowling Green Falcons 

Over on the Bowling Green side, they lost to Wright State, St. Bonaventure, Notre Dame, Southern IN, Queens NC, Norfolk State and TN-Martin over their first 14 games. The Falcons have since gone 1-3 with a lone win over Ohio. 

Back on Tuesday in the Buffalo matchup, the Falcons were down 48-33 by the break. Bowling Green was outscored 52-38 from there and lost 100-71. Leon Ayers was the leading team scorer on 23 points and five rebounds.

I’m going to take a stab on Bowling Green. I’m also probably not going near this one; neither team has done especially well lately. Bowling Green is a sketchy 4-3 in their last seven outings, but the good news is that they’ve scored 70 or more points in each of those games. As for Miami-OH, they’ve hit 66 or more in three of the last four but they’ve also allowed 69 or more in each of those outings as well. This one should be a high-scoring total if both teams are on, and ultimately I think Bowling Green can power out the cover.
