Eastern Michigan has had a rough year, starting out with a 6-16 run over their first 22 outings. The Eagles are 2-5 in their last seven games, taking losses to Ball State, Buffalo, Toledo, Akron and Kent State with wins over Western Michigan and Ball State.
In the rematch with Ball State on Saturday, the Eagles went into the locker room with a 37-27 deficit. Eastern Michigan posted a 48-31 run in the second half and took the comeback win 75-68, though. Emoni Bates led the team on 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Over on the Bowling Green side, they hit a 10-12 run over their first 22 games this year. The Falcons have since lost to NIU, Kent State, Ball State, Central Michigan, Toledo, Miami-OH and Kent State again in that time.
Back on Saturday versus Kent State, Bowling Green went into the second half with a 42-37 advantage. The Falcons were outscored 42-27 from there and lost 79-69, however. Both Chandler Turner and Samari Curtis led the team on 11 points each.
ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I’ll take a stab on Bowling Green here. Probably not touching this one, though; there’s admittedly not much intrigue here. Bowling Green is struggling right now and sitting on a nine-game losing streak. The Falcons managed to get a win the last time these teams met up back on January 3 at EMU Convocation Center however, taking it 91-65 with a 46-31 second half. Even with the losing streak in tow Bowling Green should be able to play fairly well at home in this rematch. I like the Falcons to power out the cover in a fairly competitive game.
