The Lafayette Leopards and the Boston University Terriers meet in college basketball action from the Case Gym on Thursday night.

The Lafayette Leopards will look to rebound from an 82-65 loss to Army last time out. Leo O’Boyle leads the Leopards in scoring with 11.6 PPG along with 3.1 RPG and 2.1 APG while Kyle Jenkins has 11.5 PPG with 4.8 RPG and CJ Fulton has 11 PPG with team-highs of 5.4 RPG and 4.8 APG to lead the Leopards in rebounding and assists and to cap off the scoring in double figures for the Leopards this season. As a team, Lafayette is averaging 61.1 PPG on 40.5% shooting from the field, 33.3% from three and 65.9% from the foul line this season.

The Boston University Terriers will look to build on their 69-61 road win over Bucknell last time out. Walter Whyte leads the Terriers in scoring and rebounding with 14.5 PPG and 6.1 RPG as the only double-digit scorer for the Terriers up to this point in the season. Ethan Brittain-Watts also has a team-high 2.1 APG as well on the year for the Terriers. As a team, Boston University is averaging 69.7 PPG on 41.3% shooting from the field, 34.3% from behind the arc and 70.3% from the foul line this season.

Lafayette is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall while the under is 18-7 in their last 25 road games. Boston University is 12-25 ATS in their last 37 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 9-3 in their last 12 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400

I get the case to be made for either side in this game, but I’m backing the Terriers here. I just think they’re the better team and Lafayette really opened my eyes with how poorly they looked against Army and I just think that the Terriers are playing the much better basketball right now. I’ll side with Boston U at home here.
