The Miami-Ohio Redhawks and the Bellarmine Knights meet in college basketball action from the Freedom Hall on Saturday afternoon.

The Miami-Ohio Redhawks will try to rebound from a 103-75 loss to Cincinnati in their last game. Mekhi Lairy leads the Redhawks in scoring and assists with 16.1 PPG and 3.6 APG while Morgan Safford has 14.7 PPG with 5 RPG this season. Anderson Mirambeaux has 13.3 PPG with a team-high 4.8 RPG to lead the Redhawks on the glass while Billy Smith has 10.3 PPG with 4.3 RPG. Julian Lewis also has 10.2 PPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Miami-Ohio so far this season. As a team, Miami-Ohio is averaging 75.3 PPG on 43.2% shooting from the field, 35% from three and 83.6% from the foul line this season.

The Bellarmine Knights will be out to build on a 69-58 win over Murray State last time out. Garrett Tipton has 10.2 PPG as the lone double-digit scorer for Bellarmine so far this season while Juston Betz has a team-high 4.9 RPG and 2.9 APG to lead the Knights in rebounding and assists up to this point in the season. As a team, Bellarmine is averaging 68.7 PPG on 45.6% shooting from the field, 38.1% from three and 73.6% from the foul line this season.

Miami-Ohio is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record and 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 Saturday games while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 road games against a team with a winning home record. Bellarmine is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 home games.

I get the case to be made for both sides here, but I’m considering the points with Miami-Ohio. Bellarmine’s played some tough competition over the course of the year, but their home numbers this year have been a bit inflated with three unlined games. Miami-Ohio’s been shelled on the road, but this is a decent Redhawks offense that can keep themselves in this game. I’ll take the shot with Miami-Ohio and the points here.
