The Auburn Tigers booked their spot in the semis by routing South Carolina 86-55. Johni Broome leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding with 16.3 PPG and 8.5 RPG while Jaylin Williams has 12.9 PPG with 4.4 RPG. Chad Baker-Mazara has 10.3 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Auburn up to this point in the year. Tre Donaldson also has a team-high 3.2 APG to lead the Tigers in the assist department up to this point in the year. As a team, Auburn is averaging 83.5 PPG on 47.3% shooting from the field, 35.1% from three and 75.4% from the foul line this season.

Mississippi State vs. Auburn Prediction

I’m on Auburn here. The Tigers are just too balanced for me to go against in a spot like this with a chance to make the SEC title game. I’m sure Mississippi State would as well, but the win over Tennessee likely punched their ticket to the big dance, so there could be a bit of a letdown here. Auburn’s been so dominant up to this point, I don’t see anything changing here. Give me Auburn.
