The Loyola MD Greyhounds and the Army Black Knights meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Christl Arena. Loyola MD is currently 8-17 on the year. The Greyhounds lost to Boston U in their last game. As for Army, they’re sitting at 13-12 this season following a loss to Bucknell on Saturday. Loyola MD Greyhounds

Loyola MD couldn’t get much going in their first 16 games this year, finishing with a 5-11 run during that stretch. Since then the Greyhounds are 3-6 with losses to Holy Cross, Lehigh, Boston U, Lafayette, Colgate and Boston U again.

In the Saturday rematch versus the Terriers, the Greyhounds managed a 46-34 run in the first half. Loyola MD was outscored 34-21 from there and lost 68-67. Kenny Jones was the top man with 16 points and four assists.

Army Black Knights

Over on the Knights’ side, they were a mixed bag through 16 games this year with a 9-7 record. Army has gone 4-5 in the last nine with losses to Colgate, Bucknell, Navy, American and Bucknell again.

Matched up against Bucknell on Saturday, the Knights took a 35-30 deficit into the locker room. Army didn’t get any closer on a 38-37 second-half run and lost 73-67. Ethan Roberts carried the team on 32 points and four rebounds in the defeat.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably stay with Army. Probably also staying away from this one, though. The Knights looked pretty flat against a struggling Bucknell team in their last outing and they’re now a sketchy 2-4 over theist six games. That said, the last time these teams met up back on January 5 at Reitz Arena Army did well. The Knights pulled off a 78-55 win in that one, notching 43 second-half points along the way. This will be a good opportunity for Army to get back on track, and I like them to succeed on a cover.

Andrew's Free Pick: Army Black Knights -8
