Boise State Broncos
The Broncos didn’t start out very well at 3-3 over their first six games, but they haven’t lost consecutive outings since then. Boise State is 6-2 in their last eight with wins over Utah Valley, San Jose State, Colorado State, Nevada, San Diego State and Fresno State alongside losses to UNLV and Utah State.
In the Utah State matchup on Saturday, the Broncos had a tough game. Boise State scored 39 points in the first half, 37 in the second and eight in overtime during an eventual 90-84 defeat. Leading the team in the losing effort was Tyson Degenhart with 24 points and four rebounds.

New Mexico Lobos
Over on the New Mexico side, they went 12-1 over their first 13 games this year with a lone loss to Saint Mary’s. The Lobos would lose to Colorado State and UNLV in the next trio, then beat San Diego State, Utah State, Air Force, San Jose State and Nevada over the next five consecutive games.
Matched up against Nevada in their Sunday outing, the Lobos were up 38-24 by the break. New Mexico kept it rolling on a 51-31 stretch in the second half for a big win 89-55. Jaelen House was the team’s leading scorer on 21 points with six assists and six steals in 35 minutes of work.
ANDREW’S FREE BOISE STATE VS NEW MEXICO PREDICTION
I’m staying with New Mexico. The Lobos are on a great run over their last five games and coming off a dominant effort against a pretty good Nevada team. In that one the Lobos shot 58.6 percent from the field and 50 percent (11-of-22) from 3-point range as the offense stayed hot. New Mexico has scored 85 or more points in all five games during this current win streak.
As for Boise State, they had a disappointing outcome against a talented Utah State squad in their last outing, but the Broncos were competitive the whole way. This is going to be another tough matchup, though. I like Boise State to hang around for most of the game before New Mexico covers late.
