The Texas A&M Aggies and Ole Miss Rebels clash Saturday in week 9 SEC college football action from Kyle Field. Ole Miss is coming off a game against LSU. The Rebels would go on to lose by 25 points. As for Texas A&M, they played South Carolina in their last game. In that one the Aggies fell by six points. Check back all season long for free college football picks at Sports Chat Place.

Ole Miss managed a 28-10 win over Troy in their first game of the year, and followed that up with a 59-3 blowout over Central Arkansas. The Rebels would rattle off wins versus Georgia Tech, Tulsa, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Auburn in their next five outings.

In the matchup versus LSU, the Rebels had a 20-17 edge at halftime. Ole Miss failed to score in the second half however and ended up losing 45-20. QB Jaxson Dart posted 284 yards with an interception, and Quinshon Judkins rushed 25 times for 111 yards and two scores.

Over on the Aggies’ side, they beat Sam Houston in their opener then fell 17-14 to App State in game two. Texas A&M would then beat Miami-FL and Arkansas before falling in consecutive games to Mississippi State and Alabama.

Matched up against South Carolina, the Aggies gave up 17 points in the first quarter and trailed by three at the break. Texas A&M couldn’t catch up and lost 30-24. QB Haynes King finished with 178 yards, one TD and one pick. Devon Achane carried 20 times for 99 yards and a TD.

The Rebels are 5-2 ATS in their last seven after an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in the last five overall. Ole Miss is 1-4 ATS in their last five in October.

Meanwhile, the Aggies are 6-2 ATS in their last eight at home and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS loss. Texas A&M is 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight-up loss.

PICK: I’m leaning toward Ole Miss, but probably not touching this one. The Rebels need a bounce-back effort after that ugly second half against LSU, that’s for sure. Ole Miss ended up with 404 total yards in the defeat, posting 24 first downs and 10 penalties along the way. The Rebels defense gave up 500 total yards and 35 first downs through LSU’s 36:19 in time of possession.

As for Texas A&M, they held up pretty well against a decent South Carolina team, all things considered. Ole Miss will be a tougher challenge however, and if the Rebels are playing angry after that bad loss I don’t think the Aggies will stay in range.
