The Toledo Rockets and UMass Minutemen do battle Saturday in a week 2 college football matchup from the Glass Bowl.

The UMass Minutemen come into this game looking to shake off their 42-10 loss to Tulane in their season opener. Tim Baldwin Jr. also have a team-high 65 rushing yards while George Johnson III has a team-high 11 receiving yards. On defense, Jalen Mackie leads UMass with 9 total tackles including a team-high 7 solo tackles.

The Toledo Rockets will look to build on a 37-0 win over LIU in their season opener. Dequan Finn has thrown for 216 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception on 75% passing while also rushing for a team-high 64 yards and a touchdown as well. Peny Boone and Jacquez Smart also have 50+ rushing yards apiece this season. Jamal Turner has a team-high 87 receiving yards on 3 catches with a TD grab while Jerjuan Newton has a team-high 4 grabs for 54 yards and a touchdown as well. DeMeer Blankumsee also has a team-high 7 receptions for Toledo this year. I get the case to be made for a decent sized underdog in a spot like this, but the problem I have is that UMass is back to their old tricks, getting blown out regardless of what team is on the other side. Toledo will be tested down the road, but there’s not going to be much of a difference in result, from playing LIU last week to UMass here. This one’s going to be over before it really even starts.
