Dayton got off to a rough 1-3 start this year, but hasn’t lost consecutive games since then. The Flyers had a three-game win streak going versus Richmond, Davidson and UMass but lost to Richmond back on Saturday in conference tourney activity.
On Saturday versus Richmond, the Flyers had a 33-25 lead by halftime. Dayton was outscored 31-43 in the second for a 68-64 loss. Tops in scoring was Toumani Camara with 17 points and 14 rebounds in 34 minutes of work in the defeat.
Over on the Toledo side, they’ve stayed very consistent this year themselves; the Rockets haven’t lost consecutive games either. Toledo had a nice six-game win streak going recently, but lost to Akron in their second game of the conference tournament.
On Friday versus Akron, the Rockets were down by 10 points by halftime. Toledo got better after the break with a 34-32 run but still lost 70-62. Leading the team was Ryan Rollins on 18 points with six rebounds and three assists.
The Rockets are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 at home and 42-19-1 ATS in the last 62 overall. The under is 6-2 in Toledo’s last eight overall.
Meanwhile, the Flyers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 overall and 5-2 ATS in their last seven after a straight-up loss. The over is 9-3 in Dayton’s last 12 overall.
PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Toledo. The Rockets played pretty flat in their last outing versus Akron, especially in the first half. That said, Toledo had a nice run going prior to that, with 68 or more points in six straight outings—and 88 or more points in four of those.
As for Dayton, they’ve got some solid offensive efforts themselves lately and are a nice 8-2 in their last 10 games. This matchup should be a pretty great one, and I like Toledo a little better on the cover.
