The Baltimore Orioles and the Philadelphia Phillies meet Tuesday in MLB action from Citizens Bank Park. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. In the Monday opener, Baltimore notched a shutout victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Baltimore played the Red Sox over the weekend but couldn’t get anything going in a three-game sweep. In the Monday matchup versus Philly, the O’s scored both runs in the top of the first during a 2-0 shutout win. John Means lasted 6.2 innings with four hits, one walk and six Ks.

For the Tuesday starter role, the Orioles will send out Conner Greene. This year Greene is 1-1 with a 5.31 ERA and 22 strikeouts.

Over on the Philadelphia side, they won versus the Mets Friday and Saturday but lost the Sunday game 3-2. On Monday, Philadelphia had just four team hits in the defeat. Ranger Suarez gave up two earned on seven hits and one walk in 6.0 innings.

For the starting pitcher gig on Tuesday, the Phillies didn’t announce a name right away. It’s looking like Philly will be doing a pen game here as well.

The Orioles are 13-38 in their last 51 overall and 16-44 in their last 60 in game two of a series. Baltimore is 13-45 in their last 58 road games as well.

Meanwhile, the Phillies are 1-5 in their last six Tuesday games and the over is 3-0-1 in their last four in game two of a series. The over is also 9-3 in Philly’s last 12 versus the AL East.

PICK: I’m probably going to try the Orioles again in this one. Baltimore had a nice offensive outing Monday with nine hits. The O’s have posted three or more runs in four of their last six games, so if they can pair it with another good pitching performance Baltimore will be in good shape here. Greene had a bad outing his last time up (0.1 innings; three earned), but if he can post a couple of good frames the O’s should be on the right track.
